Betty Carol Porterfield Box, 87, of Paducah passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was born in Visalia, California on March 28, 1930.
Betty was a former co-owner of the Pines Restaurant in Paducah and The Shopper News weekly newspaper.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Johnny G. Box; three children, Linda and Jeff Walton of Santa Cruz, CA, Judy and Max Bastani of Paducah, KY, and Shelia and Allan Box of Paducah; one brother, Rex Elwood Porterfield of Springfield, MO; one sister, Carleen Neumeier of St. Charles, MO; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Meryl and Maurice Porterfield; two brothers, John Caswell Porterfield and Maurice Porterfield Jr.
