Dennis Gerard Joseph Leonard

Dennis Gerard Joseph Leonard, 65, of Paducah, died on Monday afternoon, August 14th, 2017 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Dennis was a retired Correctional Officer for the state of Kentucky. Dennis was also a member of First Christian Church of Paducah, and was a part of the Super Seniors group of the church.

Dennis is survived by his spouse, Beverly Craig of Paducah; two children, Scott (Jennifer) Townsend of Columbia, Mo., and Kelly (Bryan) Brandeberry of Union, KY.; two brothers, Kenneth (Barbara) Leonard of St. Louis, Mo., and Larry (Pat) Leonard of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Diane Rhodes of Columbia, Mo.; one brother in law, Dr. Allen Craig of Tullahoma, TN.; five grandchildren, Ray, Micah, Luke, and Ben Brandeberry, and Kaitlyn Townsend; one step grandson, Tyler Berry; two adult step children, James (Michelle) Berry, and Madison Berry; Father in law, Jim Craig of Paducah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Betty Smitherman Leonard.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, August 18th, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at First Christian Church starting at 11am with Rev. Bob Franz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the First Christian Church of Paducah, the McCracken Co. Humane Society, or the ASPCA.
