Glen Richard Monday

Glen Monday, 82, of Metropolis, died Tuesday morning, March 7th, 2017 at Southgate Nursing and Rehab of Metropolis. Glen was a retired Sargent Major in the US Army and was a purple heart veteran.

Glen was a member of the American Legion Post #306 in Metropolis, IL. and the VFW Post #3847 in Metropolis, IL.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patti Monday; one son, Richard Monday of Fort Smith, Ark.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mable McNeal Monday; two daughters; and five sisters.

Military honors will be presented in a future private family memorial service.
