John Robert Simmons

John Robert Simmons, 68, of Smithland passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Mr. Simmons was a retired salesman and of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and playing pool.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Pamela Simmons of Smithland; two sons, Kris (Heather) Simmons of Possum Trot and Jeremy (Gina) Simmons of Briensburg; three grandchildren, Maverick, Serenity, and Beau; and one niece, Leslie Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy Simmons; one brother, Lowell Simmons; and one sister, Beth Brown.
Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Tiline Cemetery with the Rev. Shawn Vandergriff officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Smithland First Baptist Church Activity Building at 237 Court St. Smithland, KY 42081.
