Edward G. “Horsefly” Myers, 82 of Joppa, IL died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Myers was US Navy World War II veteran and an avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Vira Myers; four daughters, Rita Mathis, Linda Hillebrand, Susan Harris, and Arlene Jewell; six sons, Ralph Myers, Dennis Myers, David Myers, Eugene Myers, Edward Myers Jr., and Mikeal Myers; seventeen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, and one grat great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nobil and Katie Myers; one daughter, Margo Myers; one son, Jackie Don Myers; three sisters, one brother and one grandson.
No services are scheduled at this time. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
