Biography
Carnetta Lindsey May, 77 of McCracken County passed away peacefully at 11:35 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. May was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church and a graduate of the Augusta Tilghman High School Class of 1952. She was member of the Paducah Woman’s Club and a former member of the Paducah Business and Professional Women’s Club.
Surviving are her husband, John E. May; one daughter, Peggy (Todd) Henney of Paducah; one son, David A. (Lori) May of Nashville; and one granddaughter, Sophia Henney.
She was preceded in death by her father, Brodie D. Lindsey; her mother, Claudean Lindsey Maupin; her stepfather, A. P. Maupin; and one sister, Patricia Ann Lindsey. Her grandparents were Lloyd and Minnie Beggs, and Ray and Opal Lindsey.
Services will be Friday at 11:00 am at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, and after 10:00 am on Friday, at the funeral home.
