Billy R Gough

Billy R. Gough, age 73, of Sedalia, Ky., was called home on September 24th, 2019.  He accepted the Lord as his Savior kneeling under a Lodi apple tree on his farm.  The apple tree is gone, but his testimony lives on.  Bill was a retired farmer and truck driver.

Bill leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Brenda Burnett Gough.  Two children, Tammy Gough Taylor and Ray Wesley Gough survive along with Bill’s grandchildren, Zach and Dulcie Taylor, Andrew Green, and C.W. Gough.  One brother, Jesse Gough, also remains.

Gone before him are his parents, Hoyt and Carlene Crider Gough, a sister, Polly Gough Hendley, a half-sister, Phyllis Gough Mitchell, and a half-brother, Johnny Mac Bennett.

Close friends and family will gather at a later time for a private service, where a new Lodi apple tree will be planted.  His memorial stone will be placed in the Sedalia Cemetery.

We thank the nursing staff of Baptist Health in Paducah for their care and concern for us all, and for all the prayers that were sent up from our community for our comfort and peace.
