Fairy B. (Phillips) Dunaway

Fairy (Phillips) Dunaway, age 82, of Paducah went home to join our Lord and Savior on Thursday November 28th, 2019 in Mt. Washington, KY.

A member of White House General Baptist Church, Fairy has been a good and faithful servant her entire life.  She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  Fairy is a retiree from Western Baptist Hospital.

Fairy is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Harry Dunaway; parents Daisy and Charlie Phillips; four brothers William, Edward, Richard, Jimmy; and two sisters Pearline Pritchard and Nana Kay McClure.

Survivors are her son Phillip (Tracy) Dunaway and their son Liam (Mt. Washington, KY) along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved her family very much, especially her only grandchild Liam.  He was her great joy.

I could not have been blessed with a better mother.

The bond between a mother and a son is a special one. It remains unchanged by time or distance. It is the purest love, unconditional and true. It is understanding of any situation and forgiving of any mistake. — unknown

Visitation will be held at Lindsey Funeral home on Wednesday December 4, 2019 from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Claunch officiating.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400 McLean, VA 22102 or to Hospice of Louisville at 315 E Broadway, Sixth Floor Louisville, KY 40202.
