Joan A. Bates

Joan A. Bates, 79 of Paducah, died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Baptist Health in Paducah.

She was a life long homemaker.

Joan is survived by her husband, Thomas S. Bates of Paducah; two children, Janet Krebs of Lancaster, California, and Thomas C. Bates of Paducah; one sister, Sharon Asbury of Battlefield, Mo; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Oren Christian and Margaret June (Colvin) Spahr; and one daughter, Lorie A. Adam.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
