Joseph E. Shallbetter

Joseph  E “Joe” Shallbetter 75, of Gilbertsville, KY. died on Tuesday, July 23,2019 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY with his companion Sheila Butler at his bedside.

Mr. Shallbetter was a lifelong Catholic, a Duke of Paducah, a Kentucky Colonel and retired member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a former HVAC engineer and received his training in his profession while a member of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his companion, Sheila Butler of Benton, KY; a stepson Adam Moreland of Chicago, IL; one daughter Tina Shallbetter, as well as his brothers Clarence Shallbetter of Minneapolis MN; Martin Shallbetter of Minneapolis MN. John Shallbetter of  Port Charlotte FL; and his sisters Alice Holm and Teri Hawkins, also of Minneapolis, MN; and 2 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Minneapolis, MN. at a later date.
