Bruce Pemberton

Bruce D. Pemberton, 62, of Paducah died at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at his home.

He was of the Baptist faith. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force, after serving two terms during the Vietnam Era. He served eight years as an officer for the Paducah Police Department and retired from the McCracken County Jail.

He is survived by his son, Mark Allen Emerson and wife Connie of Paducah; one grandson, Austin Emerson of Paducah; special friend, Margaret Emerson of Paducah; one brother, Edward “Ed” Alan Pemberton and wife Lisa of Bardwell; one sister, Peggy Rowe of Hilton Head, S.C.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Virginia “Jennie” Hummel Pemberton and his father, Damon R. Pemberton.

There will be no visitation. A private service will held at a later date. Lindsey Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
