Carol Carlson

November 19, 1944 — February 22, 2022

Paducah

Carol Lee Carlson was born November 19, 1944, to Eldren and Dorothy (Braden) Carlson. When Carol was a young girl, she would amaze others with her great verbal abilities and her beautiful singing. She sang in her high school choir and later she sang to entertain others.

Carol grew up and went to school in Mason City, Iowa. She lived in California, Colorado, Michigan, Washington state, and for the last five years in Paducah, Kentucky. For many years she was a caregiver and her servant’s heart was a blessing to many. For eighteen months she helped care for her sister-in-law’s mother, which meant she moved to Washington state to live with her brother, John and Natalie. Her primary reason for the move was to help and give care.

Wherever Carol went she shared her love for Jesus! She was a part of mission trips, even dressing as a clown, to bring the message of hope and love found in her Lord Jesus.

Carol went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2022 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah. She is survived by two brothers, John (Natalie) Carlson and David Carlson; four nephews, Chad, Jeremy, Joshua, and John-Mark; and one niece, Elizabeth.

Preceding Carol in death are her parents, Eldren and Dorothy Carlson, and her former husband, John Manning.

A memorial service for Carol will be held at Bethel Tabernacle located at 2100 Bridge Street in Paducah on March 28, 2022 at 3:00 pm.

Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
