Denise Kay Turner

Denise Turner, 78, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Southgate Nursing & Rehab in Metropolis.

Denise was a retired schoolteacher. She taught special education at Clark Elementary before teaching second and fourth grade McNabb Elementary.  She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, eating, and collecting dolls.

Surviving are her two children, Kristina (James) Thorsby and David Aaron Gill both of Paducah; four grandchildren, Chelsi Diles, Chad Ringstaff, Bryce Gill, Brock Gill; five great-grandchildren, Mason Kerley, Kadon Hill, Waylon Hill, Adalyn Diles; and Evenly Diles. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Turner; her parents, Charles and Vera McClure; and her brother, Michael McClure.

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, June 21, 2024, in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow.

Friends may visit the family from 12:30pm to service hour on Friday at the cemetery.
