Dusty Sawyers

Dusty Sawyers, 43, of Metropolis, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home.

Dusty had a big heart and would do anything he could to help anyone. He had a strong passion for music and enjoyed the outdoors, especially walks with his dad.

Dusty is survived by the love of his life, Sydney Dickson; his dad and stepmom, Jackie and Julie Sawyers; three stepsiblings, Kenny Betts, Kollan Shaw, and Shelby Childress his mother-in-law, Deborah Mollica; five nieces and nephews, Erika Loflin, Cloey Loflin, Phoenix Henderson, Kayson Shaw, and Assyria Childress; aunt, Janice Hall; cousin, John Henderson; and several other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding Dusty in death is his mom, Joyce Sawyers; his paternal grandma, Hazel Sawyers; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Esther Lee.

A celebration of life for Dusty will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Central Hall (located at 1009 North Ave, Metropolis, IL 62960).
