Evelyn Hollowell

Evelyn Wall Hollowell, age 52, formerly of Ledbetter, Ky., died at 11:35 a.m. June 7, 2010, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.

She attended Livingston Central High School, Class of 1977; she was a lifetime member of VFW #1191 in Paducah and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Jeb Barnes and wife Kylie of Smithland, Ky.; her daughter, Brooke Barnes of Birmingham, Ala.; her grandson, Joshua Barnes; and step-granddaughter, Taylor Shell of Smithland, Ky.; her father and stepmother, Bob and Sandy Wall of Alton, Ill.; her mother and stepfather, Patricia “Bobo” and Don Russell of Ledbetter, Ky.; three sisters, Louretta Doctorman of Ullin, Ill., Jeanette Cooper of Smithland, Ky., and Nelda Williams of Ledbetter, Ky.; one stepbrother, Jimmy Cobb and his wife, Barbara, of Ledbetter, Ky.; seven stepsisters, Donna Clark and Debbie Wilharber, both of Ballard County, Ky., Mary Cobb of Burna, Ky., Phyllis Gazetti of Dallas, Texas, Peggy Hartman, Vicky Lankford and Cherie Moorhead, all of Alton, Ill.; two aunts, Joyce McKendree of Smithland, Ky., and Pat Coffman of Cottage Hills, Ill.; one great-aunt, Boots Stokes of Ledbetter, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Hollowell; grandparents, E.T. and Pearl Ledbetter and Ranel and Gladys Wall of West Frankfort, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Lindsey Funeral Home, Rev. Willie Guess officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter, Ky.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Lindsey Funeral Home.
