Garry Joe Payne

Garry Joe “Butch” Payne, 71, of Paducah passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah with his family by his side.

He was retired from Arch Environmental as a chemical operator and was of the Methodist Faith. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and in the woods. He loved to hunt, fish, and shoot. He also loved his dogs, Molly and Milly.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Leah Payne of Paducah; two daughters, Alisha Grover and husband Mark of Mayfield and Brittany Payne of Paducah; two grandchildren, Chloe Grover and fiancé, Caleb Reinhardt, and Brody Grover all of Mayfield; his mother-in-law, Fran Swayze of Mayfield; and two special friends, Brad Fuller and Brian Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Helen Payne; his sister, Wanda Payne; and his father-in-law, Richard Swayze.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the funeral home.
