Ida Virginia (Mayes) Flippin

Ida V. Flippin, 93, of Brookport, passed away on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 at Southgate Nursing and Rehab in Metropolis, IL. She was of the Christian Faith.

Ida is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Simone of Santa Clarita, CA.; two sons, David (Gretel) Craig of Brookport, and Denny (Leigh Ann) Craig of Brookport; four grandchildren, RJ Simone of Santa Clarita, CA., Heather Peagram of Helena, MT., Julieanna Craig and David Craig of Brookport; seven great grandchildren; nine great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ida Curtis Mayes; two husbands, CV Craig, and Clifton Flippin; six brothers; one sister; one son in law, Robert Simone; and one daughter in law, Melva Lou Craig.

Graveside services are being held on Monday, March 19th, 2018 at Pell Cemetery in Brookport, IL. starting at 11am with Pastor Charles Tate officiating.
