Lester Eugene Dixon

Lester Eugene Dixon born 1/04/1937 to Nellie and Elwood Dixon Lester was know to friends and family as Gene.  Gene passed away Friday December 1, 2023 at Marion VA , in Marion, Ill.

Gene spent 6 years in the army as a bridge engineer.  He loved his family, music, hunting and making jokes.

Gene is survived by his daughter, LaNesha (Nathan) Board.  Five grandchildren, Kyle Dixon, Brittany Dixon, Adam, Ariel and Alex Board.  Three sisters, Patty Morse, Louise Spence, Alice Markham . Two daughter-in-laws, Kay and Charlotte Dixon.  Alone with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Elwood, two sons, Leon and Lesley Dixon.  On sister Carol Brumfield and brother, Bill Dixon.

A memorial service is planned at a later date
