Ronald Guilmain

Ronald “Ronnie” R. Guilmain, 62, of Paducah passed away at 10 a.m. on Saturday at his home.

Mr. Guilmain worked as a self-employed electrician. He was also a Vietnam veteran, receiving the national defense service medal, the Vietnam service medal with one silver star, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (60-), the navy unit commendation, and combat action ribbon. He later became a member of American Legion Post No. 31, and volunteered 1 year for the U.S. Corp of Engineers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary LaGrand Guilmain; his father, Oscar Guilmain; his godfather, Richard Guilmain of Wilberham, Mass.; two sons, Jody P. Guilman and wife, Lisa of Gallatin, TN, and Justin P. Guilmain and wife, Amanda of Calvert City; one daughter, Jennifer R. Guilmain and fiancee’ Lee Hull both of Paducah; one brother, Ray Guilmain of Springfield, Mass.; two sisters, Renee’ Trench of Agwam, Mass., and Yvonne LaGrand of California; six grandchildren, Jonathon Miller, Melissa Cavalier, Jeremy Miller, Jacob Guilmain, Justin Guimain II, and Abigail Guilmain.

Mr. Guilmain was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Miller Guilmain of Massachusetts; and his godmother, Trudy Williams of Elsmere, Ky.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Hutch Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow at Dyer Hill Cemetery in Livingston County. Friends may call between the hours of 5 and 9 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday evening.
