Shannon Root

Shannon Root, 73, of Metropolis, Il., died Monday January 2, 2023 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Metropolis; one daughter, Carmen (Brad) Sexton of Karnak Il; one son, Robert Root of Metropolis; one brother, Dennis (Barbie) Lewis; four sisters, Cheryl, Susie, Shelley Tina; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lewis and Elinore Lewis; one son, George Allen Lewis; four brothers; Pat, (Infant) Charles, Tykie and Timmy; and one infant sister, Laura.

No memorial services are planned at this time.
