Sherry Kaye (Stroud) Burton

Sherry Burton, 85, of Paducah passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Charter Senior Living in Paducah.

Sherry was a homemaker and a childcare provider. She was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to their sporting events.

Surviving are her three children, Terri Simons of Paducah, Tracy (Mike) Murphy of Paducah, Tammy Burton of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Tyler Simons, Taryn (Erik) Cratz, Morgan Murphy, Sean (Katie) Murphy, Aden (Gracie) Burton; and five great-grandchildren, Emerson, Hudson, Tatum, Wade, and Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Radford and Margarite Stroud; and her sister, Vickie Thommasson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Wingfield and Rev. Jamey Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Boaz Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 11:30am to service hour on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
