Sue Spraggs

Sue Spraggs, 89, of Paducah passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Parkview Nursing & Rehab. 

She retired from Garan Inc. Where she was the personnel manager and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She enjoyed arranging flowers and playing guitar and singing. 

Surviving are three sons, Steven  (Tina) Spraggs of Paducah, Anthony (Liezel) Spraggs of Maricopa, Arizona, and James Dowdy of Mayfield; two daughters, Letitia Jackson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Vernita Spraggs of Paducah; seven grandchildren,  Legina Pyron, Stephanie Smith, Leslie Spraggs, Brandon Spraggs, Amanda Bolduc, Tommy Dowdy of Paducah and Isabella Spraggs; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Vernon Spraggs; her parents, Oscar Cope and Mary Naoma Cope; two sisters, Mable Dowdy and Mildred Sullivan; and her granddaughter, Tammy Jackson.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens in Fulton with her nephew, Dan Williams officiating. Burial will follow

Friends may visit the family from 11:00 to 12:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy-Health Lourdes Hospice.
