Terence "Terry" James Funk

Terry Funk, 67, of Paducah, formerly of Cypress, Il., passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 12^th, 2024 at his home in Paducah. Terry was a retired Federal Corrections Officer who enjoyed working on old cars, motorcycling, and going to watch family ballgames whenever he could. He loved spending time with family every opportunity he could. Terry was also a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Cypress, Il.

Terry is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kathy; two daughters, Toni (Chris)  McHugh of Arkansas, and Jacquie (Richie) Oliver of Cypress, Il.; two sisters, Cheryl Webb of Vienna and Naoma Reed of Tn.; three grandchildren, Christian Funk, Richie Wayne Oliver, and Haylie Lynne Oliver; one great grandchild, Arya Funk. 

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius Funk and Beryl Zintel Funk; his wife of 37 years, Johnette Deaton Funk; two brothers, Darryl Funk and Richard Funk; and one grandson, Colton Funk. 

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Friday May 17^th, 2024 at Bethany Baptist Church in Cypress, Il. Starting at 1pm with Brother Jay Franklin officiating. Inurnment of ashes will take place at Cypress Cemetery at a later date.
