Carlos Roberts

Carlos “Doc” Roberts, 80, of Mayfield, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital.

Doc was a one-of-a-kind man who was known for his artistic abilities. He did everything from t-shirt designing, to cake decorating, to the big rooster at Piggly Wiggly. Doc was also a Duke of Paducah. He had a fun sense of humor and loved to pull the perfect prank. Doc had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. Animals loved Doc and he loved them just as much.

Doc is survived by his wife, ReDonna Roberts; four children, Krista (Tony) Jones, Matthew (Melissa) Roberts, Crystal (Hunter) Brown, and William Blakey; three siblings, Carolyn (John) Bevins, Jackie Roberts, and Janis (Jack) Rollins; ten grandchildren, Corbin, Cameron, Brady, Daiton, Reagan, Ryleigh, Dalilah, Zoe, Hunter, Jordan, and one on the way; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Max; brother-in-law Steve Fuller; sister-in-law Wanda Fuller, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Doc in death are two children, Carla Lynn Roberts and Debra Lynn Roberts; his parents, Carlos Edward and Viola Roberts; his first wife, Judith Lynne Roberts; and three siblings, Bobby Gene Roberts, Phyllis June Dukes, and Patsy Ann Canter.

A memorial service for Doc will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at New Home Missionary Baptist Church (located at 600 KY-564, Mayfield, KY 42066) from 2 pm to 5 pm. The family requests any flowers be sent to 2108 State Route 564, Mayfield, KY 42066.
