Gene Hendon

Gene Hendon, 60, of Paducah, passed away March 8, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Gene was a retired refuse driver for the City of Paducah who had a strong love for the outdoors. From fishing to camping, outside was where he could be found. He was also a member of the AFSCME.

Gene is survived by two brothers, John Hendon and Billy L. Hendon; two nieces, Evelyn Hendon and Sara Shoemate; and five great-nieces and nephews, Vander Burchette, Linden Marby, Annabelle Shoemate, Alexander Shoemate, and Paisley Franklin.

Preceding Gene in death are his parents, Charles and Gwendolyn Hendon; and two brothers, Terry Hendon and James Dean Hendon.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
