Joe Tharp

Joe Tharp, 83, of Almo, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in Paducah.

Joe was a retired security guard at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He loved riding motorcycles. Joe love his family and his sense of humor could light up a room wherever he went.

Joe is survived by his children, Brent Tharp and Laura Tharp; four siblings, Rev. George Tharp, James Tharp, Tom Tharp, and Rachel Graham; five grandchildren, Jacqui Skinner, Chris Tharp, Josh Stroup, Nikki Martin, and Corrie Stroup; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Joe in death is his wife, Edith Tharp; his parents, Lester and Mamie Tharp; and two sisters, Virginia Romain and Faye McElhone.

A private family graveside will be held Monday, March 23 at Wallace Cemetery.
