Joneth “Joni” Hilton, 78, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital.

Joni was a home health aide before retiring. After retirement, she loved to sit on her porch while enjoying a cup of coffee. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Joni was a member of Powers United Methodist Church in Metropolis, Illinois.

Joni is survived by four children, Donald (Ashley) Choate, Aaron (Stephanie) Choate, Sheila (Jason) Clay, and Penn (Elizabeth) Hilton; two sisters, Lorine Mason and Linda Gilmore; three grandchildren, Destiny Lott, Keely Clay, and Karsyn Clay; two great-grandchildren, Dawson Harris and Denver Bent; special friends Steve Lambert and Peter Ebling; her beloved cat, Candy; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Joni in death is her husband, Hartley Hilton; one son, Eric Choate; her parents, Linzy and Mildred Kindrex; four sisters and two brothers.

Per her wishes, Joni will be cremated and no services are scheduled.

Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
