Mary Ransom, 89, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of Southside Holiness Church. Mary was a collector of things and spent time playing cards and Bingo with her friends at Parkview. She loved her family and enjoyed the dear moments they spent together.

Mary is survived by two children, Charlotte (Dennis) Wheatley and James Clifford Ransom Jr.; one son-in-law, Jerry Molott; nine grandchildren, Jerry Molott Jr., Elizabeth Johnson, Cindy Ellis, Johnna Day, Denny Wheatley, Anne Wallace, Ronnie Ransom, Delinda Lombas, and Brandon Ransom; several great and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mary in death is her husband, James Clifford Ransom Sr.; her parents, Thelbert and Gracie Scott; two children, Patricia Molott and Terry Ransom; one daughter-in-law, Glenda Ransom; and two brothers, Ernest Scott and Junior Scott.

A private family graveside will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter, Kentucky with a memorial service to follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Mary’s name to the Easter Seals of West Kentucky (located at 801 N 29th Street, Paducah Ky, 42001) or the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center (located at 1530 Lone Oak Rd. Paducah, Ky, 42003).
