Obituary
Melba Jean Sanderson, 84, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.
Melba was a lifelong wife, mother, Grandma Melba, and Memaw. Her family was always her top priority. Melba was loved by so many and everyone knew the rule at her house, never walk out of the door hungry. She loved to craft and crochet when she wasn’t in the kitchen.
Melba is survived by her husband of 67 years, Glenn Sanderson; three children, Gary Sanderson, Penny (Larry) Woods, and Howard Sanderson; two sisters, Imogene Branch and Wilma “Snooks” Anderson; seventeen grandchildren, Marvin, Mike, Chris, Jenny, Kenneth, Heather, Nick, Stacey, Aaron, Josh, Brandon, Brad, Will, Shannon, Miranda, Ashley and Amanda; seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Preceding Melba in death are her parents, Chester and Arinda Wells; two siblings, Sonny Wells and Karen Maglothin; and daughter-in-law; Pam Sanderson.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
