Nancy Gallerie

Nancy Katherine Gallerie was born February 9, 1960 to Rita Lee St. John who precedes her in death. She is survived by her husband, Walter E. Gallerie Sr. of Kuttawa, KY; two sons, Walter E. Gallerie Jr. of Marion, KY and Adam P. (Paul D. Barnes) Barnes-Gallerie of Hopkinsville, KY; five grandsons, Brennan Gallerie, Coleman Young, Matthew Barnes, Justin Barnes, Salem Barnes; one granddaughter, Ashley Lancaster; four great-grandchildren, Cooper, Zoey, and Carter Lancaster and Preston Young; and four sisters, Mickey St. John, Trisha St. John, Dinaha St. John, and Sarah St. John.

Nancy passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Paducah, KY on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from complications of a heart attack the previous week. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who worked endlessly to ensure her family knew just how much they were loved. Her natural caring character often found Nancy in a mothering role to those she met throughout her life. Nancy had spent the last several years doing volunteer work for multiple charities and missions in the surrounding area. The impact on those she ministered to, mothered, or just leant an unjudging shoulder to cry on will be remembered and felt for many years to come beyond her untimely Heavenly Homecoming. Her family and friends will miss her more than can ever be expressed in words but take comfort and solace in knowing she is eternally wrapped in her Savior Jesus’ arms and God the Father’s embrace.

As per Nancy’s request, there will not be a viewing or funeral service. The family will announce a celebration of life at a later date for all who would like to attend and remember the amazing woman who touched so many. In lieu of flowers, they ask for donations to be made to Redemption City (P.O. Box 455, Dawson Springs, KY 42408).
